Note 1: Depending on your assessment of skills, placement scores, or high school course work, you may be required to take developmental or other prerequisite courses, such as guided studies, developmental writing, developmental math, or MATH 1314.
Note 2: Students without a high school preparatory accounting or bookkeeping course are strongly encouraged to take ACNT 1303 first.

If you successfully complete the above set of courses, you will be entitled to the following:

By law, you will have completed the core
curriculum (also known as "the basics") at any public college or
university in the state of
· You will earn an Associate of Science degree from the Houston Community College System.
· With good grades (at least a 2.0 grade point average), you will be admitted to the University of Houston-Victoria as a junior, half way to your goal of a bachelor's degree in computer science.
· You may be eligible for the TEXAS Grant Program, which is designed to cover the total cost of university tuition and fees for students with financial need who earn an associate's degree from a community college. Check it out: http://www.collegefortexans.com
